ARCS Foundation members and their husbands travelled to Washington, D.C. for a fabulous ARCS Retreat on April 24 – 28, 2024. We stayed at the historic and beautifully reimagined Willard Hotel and enjoyed amazing insider tours at the Hillwood Estate & Gardens, the Children’s National Research and Innovation Campus, NTI - the global nuclear threat initiative think tank, as well as dinners with National Institute of Health research scientists and early morning access to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. We heard from nationally renowned speakers who gave us new insights into current security initiatives, scientific and medical research, and museums of historical prominence. Our perfect ending was a private-chartered dinner cruise on the Potomac River. Thank you to Liz Troy and Janis Henry for planning this remarkable retreat to Washington, D.C.
